Join Us in Our Efforts to Support Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut!

On October 1, 2016 we will be partaking in the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge in honor of our 2 favorite wish kids, Meyer and Mateo, "Team M&M.". Both boys are children of our former colleagues and friends. Meyer, age 12 is diagnosed with PSC, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, a disease that damages the bile ducts of the liver and sometimes requires liver transplant. Mateo, age 6 is fighting the battle with leukemia. Both are great inspirations to hike 30 miles of the Savoy Mountain State Forest in an effort to grant more wishes.

A little bit about Make-A-Wish:
Now, in 2016 and after 30 years, more than 2,500 children in Connecticut have benefited from the hope, strength and joy of experiencing their one heartfelt wish. And while it's not the beginning, it's nowhere near the end. Nationally, Make-A-Wish granted 14,800 wishes last year - on average, one every 35 minutes. But for every wish granted, another child is diagnosed with a potentially qualifying condition. Granting a wish is often the best medicine possible. It is a prescription that changes a child’s outlook on life and generates a smile for the first time in a long time. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. It drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible.

Please consider helping "Team M&M" reach our fundraising goal of $5000. Every little contribution will help Meyer, Mateo and so many other children receive their wishes. Stay tuned for upcoming fund-raising events.

All the best, and with much gratitude,

Jeannette and Marcie
